Appreciating, Affirming & Supporting the LGBTQIA+ Community

Would you like to be an ally to LGBTQIA+ community? Would you like to understand how to respectfully use pronouns, acronyms, and get up-to-date information? Join the AAUW Naperville Area (IL) Branch for an educational program- Appreciating, Affirming & Supporting the LGBTQIA+ Community.  On Tuesday, November 9, at 7 pm, via Zoom. Our speaker, Emma Vosicky (she/her) will give us an update on changing language and discrimination both unwitting and intended.  Emma is a business litigation attorney, serving as Executive Director of GenderNexus, an Indiana agency that empowers gender diverse people and their loved ones to lead healthy, authentic, and joyful lives. Her LGBTQ+ advocacy includes education, training, and fundraising with Youth Outlook, working with TJLP’s name change initiative and serving Equality Illinois as a CAG member and Project Manager for its Boards & Commissions Project.  In her spare time, Emma is a published writer, storyteller, and public speaker.
