Doesn’t a break — some time to yourself, for yourself — sound like a good idea? So indulge yourself with “A Spiritual Spa” that will be held 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
The program includes sampling yoga, reflexology, guided meditation and longevity lifestyle with professionals who will be available to demonstrate the various topics, offer advice and answer questions.
Topics and presenters will be: yoga with Patti Essig, a local Amrit yoga certified 2nd level teacher, spiritual director and retreat facilitator; and reflexology with Kathy Ford, RN, director of pastoral care/service at St. Raphael Catholic Parish, Naperville, who will demonstrate how gentle pressure, especially on specific points of the feet, can revitalize one.
Chari Rosales, director of adult faith formation at St. Thomas the Apostle, will explain and demonstrate how guided meditation works to relieve tension while Steve Superczynski, D.C., chiropractor at Superczynski Family, Naperville, will be on hand to explain how adopting healthy lifestyle habits can contribute to a longer, healthier life.
